A fast-paced and growing startup located in downtown Boulder, CO is looking for a Sr. PHP developer to contribute to our flagship product - a ground-breaking internet service which will provide many exciting challenges for a smart and enthusiastic developer.

As a member of the core development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new features for our core product. Must be a team player and self starter. Experience in a start-up environment is a plus.

This is a back-end developer position.


Requirements:

* Senior/Expert - level knowledge of object-oriented programming with PHP
* Minimum 5 years experience in web development
* 3+ Years experience with PHP and LAMP
* Experience developing distributed applications
* Experience developing applications with large numbers of concurrent users
* Strong team-oriented skills including SCM, Revision Control, Defect tracking, and collaboration tools.
* Strong Linux development experience is preferred
* Comfortable working in a small-team, fast-paced, start-up environment
* Ability to work without a lot of direction
* Ability to gather the information you will need to complete your task and communicate issues promptly
* Ability to deliver on-time, well-tested modules
* Ability to write clean, well commented, modular code
* BS/MS in C.S. or related degree (or equivalent experience)

The ideal candidate will not only be a developer who can get things done and make things work, but should be a bit of a "jack of all trades," ready to pitch in where needed, whether with Sys Admin, integration testing, etc. Experience in a start-up environment is a plus, as is experience "wearing multiple hats" and working with a good breadth of technologies (especially open source).

Fast-paced and growing Boulder startup is looking for an experienced software QA engineer to lead testing for a web-based product.

To be successful, you must have an assertive personality as you will initially be the only QA Engineer working with a development team of 7-8 developers.

As the QA team grows, there is potential for this to grow into a leadership role - so leadership skills are a must and leadership experience is a big plus.

In addition to a solid software QA background, the ideal candidate will also bring skills and experience in either the area of Software Configuration Management (SCM) or significant experience writing automated tests, shell scripts, or programming experience. This is a small company and we are looking for someone who can contribute in multiple ways.

Must be a self-starter who can rise to challenges and get things done. Must be able to work under tight deadlines.


Responsibilities will include:
  • Review, understand and contribute to product requirements, specifications, and user stories.
  • Identify and document detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
  • Forewarn stakeholders when a project is in jeopardy of meeting deadlines.
  • Actively participate in design/code reviews and handoffs.
  • Perform manual and automated functional and regression testing.
  • Contribute to QA and product documentation.
  • Provide testing estimates.
  • Uncover and document defects in daily builds of the product software.
  • Qualify bug reports from product users.
  • Verify bug fixes.

Responsibilities may include (depending on the experience you bring):
  • Develop automated functional and regression test suites.
  • Write, maintain, and run white-box unit tests.
  • Setup and maintain an automated build process.
  • Package product releases for deployment.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in QA and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to develop and execute test plans with minimal guidance.
  • Experience testing web-based products.
  • Experience testing products using multiple web browsers and platforms.
  • Experience with QA methods in an agile development environment.
  • Understanding of unit tests, system tests, and test-driven development.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Strong SQL Skills (MySQL a plus)
  • Linux Skills

The Product Manager will be primarily responsible for product planning. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle in an agile environment, gathering and prioritizing product requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver exceptional products. It also includes working with sales and support to ensure customer satisfaction across all facets of the business. There may also be some product marketing responsibilities.


The Product Manager's job also includes product marketing responsibilities, including ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.
