Description
Responsible for leading and participating in the activities associated with identifying and analyzing network requirements to develop detailed design specifications for data traffic and network enhancements, coordinating assigned projects for completion from beginning to end and effectively communicating results to end user; coaching and mentoring designated staff in network engineering projects, providing direction and support.
Qualifications
* Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering related field, or equivalent work experience – bachelor's degree preferred
* Minimum three years network infrastructure experience
* CCNP or equivalent certification
* Knowledge of the following hardware: switches, routers, CSU/DSU
* Knowledge of the following software: Unix, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, Windows OS, IP Telephony, network management systems, and network analysis
* Familiarity with network design on large scale networks
* Minimum one year project coordination experience preferred
* CCIE, CISCO and multi vendor experience preferred
