CLOSED - Flash or Java Application Architect- North Denver

An experienced and visionary Architect / Developer is needed to mastermind a cutting edge interactive design tool suite. Compete and partner with the greatest minds in online customization, placing your work in front of millions of end users.

This person must have a background in Object Oriented programming and design (Java, C++, C#, etc - Java is preferred)


Ideally this person will also have extensive Flash experience as described below. However, strong Java web architects who have a willingness to learn Flash will also be a good fit.

Responsibilities:
• Take leadership role for future direction of application & Flash-based technologies
• Enhance design of sophisticated Flash editor & related applications
• Work with visual designers, developers, and subject matter experts to enhance existing Flash 8 (AS2) based RIA
• Create working interactive mock-ups of new product/application concepts

Preferred Experience:
• 3+ years web / interactive development experience
• Expert in ActionScript 2 (AS2) / Flash 8
• Working knowledge in ActionScript 3 (AS3) / Flash 9
• Proficient in integration of Flash application with SQL databases, .NET components, XML
• Proficient in Flash Remoting, Flash & JavaScript integration, Flash and Web Services
• Ability to create CSS driven, dynamic Flash layouts and templates
• Working knowledge in AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML
• Proficient in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Knowledge of application design principles and usability issues
• Shipped more than one production Flash application
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Photoshop CS2 or similar graphic manipulation software

Nice To Haves:
• Strong Graphic Design skills
• Working knowledge in Flex 2 or Flex 3
• Experience in AS2 to AS3 migration
• Experience porting existing Flash applications to Flex
• Strong visual/interface design, UI design
• Experience with server-side programming languages, i.e. ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, etc.
• Experience in authoring Flash components
