Sr Sales Engineer

Downtown Denver - 1 block off 16th St. Mall

Duties

* Perform discovery at client site (discovery process interviews
key stake holders in IT operations analyzes results and works up
potential fit for our product plus potential business case)
* Perform Demos
* Prepare competitive analysis
* At times manage and implement solutions for pilot or proof of concept
* Be the technical point of contact on sales opportunity
* Build relationships with potential customer technical staff in
the IT operations area.



Skills Required

* Able to solicit and understand client requirements
* Able to reduce requirements to writing and develop solution to
requirements using our product. At times that will required
development in Jython.
* Able to speak with authority on IT infrastructure issues and
build relationship with technical teams in this area through
understanding of the subject matter.
* Effective in presenting in both structured and unstructured situations
* Able to travel up to 50 - 75% of the time

Requirements

* 5 years in a pre-sales role supporting product that requires
hands-on configuration and programming of solution.
* Strong knowledge of issues surrounding IT operations. Ideal
candidate would have had previous experience selling IT tools and
automation (such as Tivoli, HP Openview, Patrol, Opsware, BLadelogic,
rendition, convio, …). Would however consider individuals w/o that
experience if they are technically strong.
* BS computer science or BS IS , or equivalent experience
